President, Women in Nuclear, Canada (WiN) and Country Leader Small Modular Reactors for GE Hitachi Nuclear Power Division
Jong Kyung Kim is a professor emeritus in the department of Nuclear Engineering at Hanyang University in Korea.
He had a particular responsibility for the preparation of the national promotion plan for the utilization of radiation and radioisotopes in Korea (2001-2007).He was a commissioner of the Korea Atomic Energy Commission (2010-2013). He was president of Korean Nuclear Society (KNS/ 2013-2014).
He was a member of the Standing Advisory Group on Nuclear Energy (SAGNE/ 2014-2017) of the IAEA. He was the past president of Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (KAERI/ 2014-2017). He is an executive council (EC) member (2008-2021) and vice-president for congress affairs (2016-2021) of the International Radiation Protection Association (IRPA). He is currently serving as president of the 15th International Congress of IRPA, IRPA 15. He served on the International Monitoring and Steering Committee (IMSC) for 6ICI and the Executive Committee (EC) for 7ICI-10ICI. He is the president of WCI (2020.2-2022.6).
He has a bachelor’s degree from SUNY at Buffalo in nuclear engineering and a master’s degree and Ph.D. (1986) in the same discipline from the University of Michigan in USA.
Lisa McBride Will moderate a conversation between leaders in the nuclear industry about the production of isotopes by using the nuclear power technologies and roles of isotopes in generating clean energy and small modular reactors (SMRs).
Lisa McBride is President of Women in Nuclear (WiN) Canada. In her role Lisa provides vision, strategic direction and oversight of the day-to-day operations of WiN Canada, an organization comprised of over 3,000 members across Canada. WiN Canada seeks to address three challenging goals. First, to engage and educate the public regarding the safe use and application of nuclear and radiation technologies. Second is to provide professional development opportunities for WiN Canada members. The third is to promote career interest in nuclear among women and young people. Lisa is also the Chair of the Women for STEM Council at Ontario Tech University.

Hiroyuki Oigawa, EngD. is an Executive Director of Japan Atomic Energy Agency (JAEA). JAEA is a national research and development institute whose mission is to break new ground for the future of nuclear energy, and contribute to the welfare of human society.
Dr. Oigawa oversees JAEA's research in nuclear science, safety and emergency preparedness. Prior to that, Dr. Oigawa has held a number of management positions for nuclear science R&D in JAEA.
Dr. Oigawa obtained Ph.D. of Engineering from Kyoto University.
Dr. Sol Pedre is the General Manager of CAREM Project at the National Atomic Energy Commission of Argentina, the Argentinien SMR now under construction in a neighboring site of Argentina’s Atucha I and Atucha II NPPs. She is also vice president of the board of CONUAR (Combustibles Nucleares Argentinos), the company in charge of manufacturing the fuel for all Argentina’s NPPs. She has over 20 years of university teaching experience, most recently as a Professor at the Balseiro Institute in Bariloche, Argentina.

James Scongack is the Chief Development Officer and Executive Vice-President Operational Services at Bruce Power.
In this role, James is responsible for operational services at Bruce Power – the World’s largest operating nuclear facility and Canada’s largest private sector clean energy infrastructure project. This includes site operational services, emergency protective services, external relations, nuclear regulatory affairs, environment and sustainability, asset dispatch and information technology.
As Chief Development Officer, James leads the company’s medical isotope business, net zero initiatives, power trading, business development and Indigenous/community economic partnerships.
He is committed to Canada’s leading global role in the fight against cancer serving as Chair of the Canadian Nuclear Isotope Council and the Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario (POGO) and as a Board Member on the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada. He also serves on the Board of LifeLabs, Canada’s largest provider of medical laboratory services.
